Shot Peening
Shot peening is a cold working process. High-speed shots (metal, glass, or ceramic spheres compliant with ASM 2431) strike the metal part surface, creating plastic deformation. This induces surface work hardening, refines grains, and introduces a residual compressive stress layer, which improves the part's fatigue and corrosion resistance, as well as its service life and reliability.
WELLTECH has mature shot peening technology compliant with ASM 2430. We can also independently design custom shot peening processes based on customer requirements or specific part operating conditions.
